He’s just big-boned.
Well, I’d love to say the cat bed came out really well and that Ike sleeps in it day and night.
But, um…
It felted up A LOT. I put some catnip in it to entice Ike into laying in it, but as you can see, there was NO WAY that was going to happen. Even in his tightest shrimpy-like pose, he wouldn’t fit in that thing.
I have some friends who just found a tiny kitten in their garage, so I’ll give it to them.
I have a bone to pick with… someone. I’m not sure if it’s my own inherent boneheadedness, but I don’t get the directions for this baby sweater I’m trying to knit. I haven’t had to read a chart before, so it’s new to me.
Thank god my knitting group meets tomorrow so I can get help from someone who actually knows what they’re doing.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHA!!
That’s awesome. If you give it to the friends with the kitten, it will be entertaining to take a series of photos as the kitten grows, until it’s Ike-sized.

Awww, Ike’s lovin’ his catnip bed. It may not fit him exactly, but it looks great! And I’m sure your friends’ kitten will heart it, too.

I love that second picture, where his face is all up in the side of the bed.
Hey, I made Trellis. It’s all knit up. It’s been a year, and I still haven’t seamed it (my problem obviously is not with chart-reading this time).

man, Ike must be HUGE or that bed felted bunches!
As for Trellis, I would recommend practicing reading the cable chart on scrap yarn first.
I should have recommended a less-complicated pattern for your first sweater. That was very dumb of me. Let me know if you need more help on it

My cat Taffy would look exactly the same trying to get into that bed, then I could see my wee little cat Lexie push past her and curl up in it with room to spare!
Great photos, btw.
Full-figured cats RULE!

Wow, those pictures are great! It also makes me happy I haven’t tried to cat-bed my cats (I, too, have a full-figured cat, along with a prima donna). Thanks for sharing!

Hahhaha ….ahahahahha, looks like something I did! I tried making a cat bed too and it turned out waaaay too small for my fatassed cats.
Hahahhahahaha, I’m sorry. But that just made my day.
